Why did you turn and look away?

It was September and hot outside

So I decided to go inside to go drink

As I stood there trying to figure out what to drink

I noticed that you were noticing me from a distance

Why did you turn away?

Why didn't you smile or say hey?

I thought you knew how surprised that I was to

finally know that someone was noticing me

My thirst went away and I wanted to just fly away

to a place far, far away

As I opened the door

you just looked to the floor

with a sad look on your face

Thinking I should of opened that door

and said Hey
